Braving the streets of a rainy San Fernando City La Union afternoon bound for a view that couldn’t get any better but with a pitcher of Margarita. Oh sunset, why are you divine and Oh so beautiful?
I’m a sucker for amber, scenario and melancholic trance. I’ve always listed Floatsam and Jetsam Hostel as one of my favorite places for solitude ever since I got back from a long overdue misery from the Middle East. Today, however,I have decided to come to The Bay Grill and Cafe, San Fernando City La Union for a change.
I’m the kind of person who likes changing boundaries. Apart from the fact that this maybe the last time I’ll be drinking alone in a “drinking-free” country, I just got ditched by my tenured friends from our supposed drinking session this afternoon. No regrets however, because I wouldn’t have come to this place to experience one of my favorite natural phenomenon if things had not changed, Sunset.
I’m a few days away from going back to work and I’m trying my best to make out of what time has left for me to enjoy a moment of freedom. I’ve always enjoyed solitude. New things come with a bit of surprise however. I would definitely recommend coming to this place, The Bay Grill and Cafe for people who wants some time alone, drink up and not worry things might get lost. Yes, I’m writing this in prejudice to my experience as a loner in this place. I’ve decided to write a review due to the fact that I am alone, but was able to get back from the comfort room with all my things left intact, and even my drinks “un-ruffied” after leaving them on the table unattended.
This place is situated at the heart of La Union Philippines, in San Fernando City. It’s incredibly affordable given the fact that it is embraced by the Sea and Sky Hotel. I’m pretty sure I won’t even get to spend five hundred pesos alone here. I only get to drink a pitcher of Margarita and a bowl of “Tokwa”, but I’m all good.
It’s been a great year. Never been any better. It’s true how they say you value things you’ve lost once they’ve gone for real. Freedom and Solitude. I will definitely miss you both.
